Case Description
The Suzhou-Taizhou Expressway is a major project implementing the national strategy for integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta region, advancing Zhejiang Province's"Four Major Initiatives,"and supporting the integrated development of Jiaxing and Huzhou. It holds significant importance for enhancing interprovincial connectivity between Jiangsu and Zhejiang, providing transportation support for the World Internet Conference, and promoting economic growth in the Yangtze River Delta region. This project encompasses the Nanxun to Tongxiang section of the Suzhou-Taizhou Expressway and the Tongxiang to Deqing Connector (Phase II). The project spans approximately 44 kilometers, with the main line measuring 24.5 kilometers. It originates at Longwanbang, Nanxun Town, Huzhou City—the boundary between Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces—connecting northward to the Suzhou-Zhenjiang-Taoshan Expressway and southward to the Qianjiang Channel and its northern connecting section, where it intersects with the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway. The total estimated investment is 18.011 billion yuan. The main line and connecting section of the Suzhou-Taizhou Expressway (Phase II) feature a total of 33 bridges. MEGA P&C supplied coatings for steel girders totaling 30,000 tons.
